Christian Dior, D’Orsay Pump, Fine Textured Brown Suede, Almond Toe, Tan Leather Lining on High Stilletto Heel.
Christian Dior D’Orsay Pump
This elegant Christian Dior D’Orsay Pump from the Imelda Marcos Shoe Collection combines understated luxury with the beautifully sculpted proportions associated with classic Dior footwear.
Crafted in finely textured brown suede, the shoe features an almond-shaped toe, high stiletto heel and distinctive open-sided D’Orsay construction. A warm tan leather lining contrasts with the rich brown suede, while the elongated silhouette gives the shoe an elegant architectural quality.
A. J. Green’s oil portrait transforms the shoe from a fashion accessory into an object of cultural history. Carefully modelled light, texture and shadow give the Dior pump an almost sculptural presence.
Reproduced as a museum-quality art print, the painting forms part of the remarkable series documenting designer shoes from the Imelda Marcos Shoe Collection.

About Christian Dior . . .
Christian Dior established his couture house in Paris in 1946, with 30 Avenue Montaigne becoming its historic home. His first Haute Couture collection was presented on 12 February 1947 and created an international sensation with the silhouette that became known as the New Look.
The new silhouette emphasised a narrow waist and expansive skirts, dramatically changing the direction of post-war fashion. Dior rapidly expanded beyond couture into perfume and accessories and began developing internationally, including in the United States, from 1948.
That combination of craftsmanship, elegance and carefully controlled proportion extended beyond clothing. Dior accessories and footwear became part of the complete aesthetic of the House, making a surviving Dior shoe an evocative piece of twentieth-century fashion history.
Did You Know?
Christian Dior’s extraordinary international reputation was established almost immediately. His first collection in February 1947 was so influential that the New Look became one of the defining moments of twentieth-century fashion.
Christian Dior himself led his fashion house for only around a decade before his death in 1957. Yet during that relatively short period, he created 22 Haute Couture collections and developed an international fashion business whose influence continued under successive designers.
His childhood home, Villa Les Rhumbs in Granville, France, is now the Christian Dior Museum, whose public collections comprise around 3,000 objects and documents relating to Dior as couturier, perfumer, gallerist and entrepreneur.
Why Collect This Christian Dior D’Orsay Pump Print?
The Christian Dior D’Orsay Pump print brings together three compelling stories: the history of Christian Dior, the extraordinary Imelda Marcos Shoe Collection and the transformation of an original designer shoe into a work of art.
Unlike some of the more extravagant shoes in the collection, this Dior pump derives its beauty from restraint. Fine brown suede, a warm tan leather lining, an almond toe and high stiletto heel create an exceptionally elegant silhouette.
A. J. Green’s painting preserves not merely the appearance of the shoe but its character as an object associated with one of the world’s most famous collections of designer footwear.
Displayed on a wall, it becomes more than a fashion print: it is a conversation between fashion, art, history, wealth and power — while its sale also helps support Sole Support’s humanitarian purpose.
